Cole's Chop

Finally my "negligent mother" stage is over (at least in this one teeny aspect). After going 2 years with just little trims here and there, I finally got out the big guns (or scissors) and gave Cole a much needed haircut. I was a little sad to see atleast 4 inches of blonde locks falling to the floor...but honestly--I think the shorter look will be better for him. If the messy look is in--this kid will be set. And at least this way, I'm making it look like I want it to be messy, right? Here are some before pictures. Look at the mass amounts of hair on this kid!

After: (I had to bribe him with cookies, and that is why his mouth is full). Heaven forbid he eat ONE at a time. The last shot is him curling up in his happy place with his blankets. It must have been pretty traumatic for him.

He has probably said "all done!" very cheerfully at least a dozen times since we finished. Yep, "all done". For another few weeks anyway...

The haircut was a MUST. why would you hold on to those locks? I guess it's an emotional thing for us... they DO grow up when you cut their hair. He's such a big boy!
