My Valentines Day in a Nutshell

Cole started off the day by scoring some cookies from his friend Preston. He was supposed to share with us, but immediately took each cookie out one-by-one and took a bite. For a video, click here.

Cole and I made some homemade decor to surprise Danny when he got home from work. I let Cole be in charge of where to put the stickers on the hearts, even though it was driving me secretly crazy that he wasn't doing it in an organized fashion--and very A symmetrically. I know...I know.
A few weeks ago, I lost my mp3 player, and I've been borrowing Danny's. He SHOCKED me with this iPod shuffle. The crazy thing, is that we never do big things like this for holidays. He had been saving up gift cards that he'd been given (For who knows how long) and used them all on me! What a guy...I am so lucky!

Ironically enough--I also won $25 from insideredbox.com (a website I subscribe to for promo codes that we use at Red Boxes...) I never win anything, so this was a big deal to me, but I wanted Danny to be able to download some cool songs--and I got him a GC with my winnings. Great minds think a like. Neither of us expected anything, so it was a fun surprise for both of us!
Cole spent some quality time playing with his LeapPad.

Cole's 2nd Valentine gift showed up, and he thanked Lily by rubbing chapstick on her forehead.

Lily & her Mom--Stefanie. We love these chicas!

We spent the evening at a very fine dining restaurant. Can't you just tell by the fries that this was high quality? We misunderstood our double dates, and didn't get a babysitter! Blast.

We talked Amy into "getting into character". I mean--we were at a truckstop-like diner. Why not act the part? She got so carried away...she had to cool off with a swig of ketchup.

Our dates had a really good time. We are a lot of fun to double with. I think we'll have to pay them next time we want to go do anything...

They're really good at faking it though, huh? I was impressed.

By the time this picture was taken, Cole was screaming and wanted to go home. Awesome. It was incredibly romantic.
My Valentine and I at the end of the day. We had a lot of fun--and we even managed to squeeze in a little Celebrity Apprentice. Oh man, yes we watch it. I can't lie.
I love you babe.

OK, best pics of you, especially the last one. Haven't actually read the post yet but have to comment on just the pics first because you look gorgeous! And nothing beats an I-tunes gift card, really. Now I'll actually read it.

I am glad Cole enjoyed the cookies. Next time I will make some especially for you! How were you so luckly to score a date at the "secert location". As you know you don't want to give the location away as it is a very romantic undiscovered spot!
