Catching up on organization
I could literally spend days trying to catch up on this blog. Here I sit, home from church because I've got some...how's the PC way to say this--some gastrointestinal problems. It's better this way, trust me. So, I've done the hard part. The photo editing and putting things together. I don't think I have the strength and mental energy to do a lot of explaining and narrating. I don't even think things will make it into chronological order. Dah well. In the big picture--time doesn't really exist. Think about that one for a while...
First, some more of the ways I've simplified our lives through organization: I swear to you I will eventually do all 31 from my 31 days of change...
The 3 ring binder has all of his lego set instructions in pocket protectors. That way he can actually know how to put things together after they've inevitably been torn apart...and yes, we labeled the Lego Box. He forced me, I swear.
Such a simple way to organize all of Cole's floating CDs. (He loves listening to stories or music at bedtime).
The dreaded box full of random puzzle pieces from who-knows-how-many puzzles. Well, now we know how many. We sat and put them all together. Then, divided them up, labeled Ziploc bags and put them together in a bin. This was totally a project he helped me on, too. It was fun for him to help me sort through the pieces. Cole loves "sorting" which comes in VERY handy when organizing.
The closet fiasco. I will NOT be sharing a before picture of this. I have a little bit of pride. Here's my favorite thing about his closet: every thing has a place. Down to his freaking helmet.

Using vertical space to our advantage. Currently obsessed with ways to implement this.
Believe it or not, I've actually added some bins and labels to this. I should take an updated photo for you to see. It's so addictive and Cole LOVES that every single thing has a place. It makes cleaning his room a no-excuse experience for everyone!

Cole wanted in on the organization. How cute is this?
And this has absolutely NOTHING to do with organization but I was just so excited that within a 2 week time frame I got all of this stuff for FREE at work.
4 Free movie tickets
Free Large Popcorn Coupon
$20 GC to Megaplex Theater
5 Discounted discounts to Festival of Tress
$25 AMEX Gift Card for working out
$5 GC to Roxberry (a Jamba Juice type joint in Draper).
Anywho, not a bad haul in 2 weeks :)
