Insanity

Ok, today has been the weirdest day, and I've only been awake for 2 hours. I wake up to the sound of Cole crying and the FedEx guy beating my door down (I had my ear plugs in, and was totally freaked out)...so I'm yelling "just a second!" to the FedEx guy while trying to put something descent on, and get Cole out of his crib, and about 30 seconds after he leaves...a friend from the ward shows up with the chang gang (okay, not really--but it was the group of moms in the complex that go walking every morning and I was totally late because I had slept in), so I'm scrambling around trying to get ready when Cole walks into the bathroom with this little metal "pan" if you will of cake, and he's been walking around stuffing cake into his face and leaving a trail back to the table. I'll explain more later, with pictures. I grab that out of his hands, and we're out the door to go on our walk. 45 mintues later we get back, and I put on a movie for him while I jump in the shower. Literally the SECOND I turn off the shower water I hear Cole jabbering (I don't know how else to explain his high-pitched nonsense talk that is so cute) and I poke my head out of the bathroom to see him walking around with an 18" knife in his hand. I literally screamed and grabbed it from his so fast that it startled him and he started to cry. So I'm standing there in my birthday suit, dripping all over the place when I hear the doorbell ring, *twice*. "just a minute!" I shout again, and run into my room to get semi-descent. I'm thinking it might be UPS?! So I throw on a long robe and wrap my hair in a towel...(don't judge me, I really needed this package today), I crack the door open and it's the Mail Man! He just wanted to make sure that I was going to be home tomorrow morning so that he could drop off a bunch of boxes/forms that I had ordered on the usps.com website. So, back in the apartment, and with the door shut, I look at the clock. I have only been awake for 2 hours, and THIS is my day so far. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Wow! what a morning! Toddlers just seem to make life crazy and you are running a business on top of it, you go girl! My little guy is obsessed with big knives.. I think he knows he will get chased if he grabs one (usually from the dishwasher.) So the minute he grabs it, he starts running. It's actually really scary. Hopefully I can keep my kids alive.

Oh my gosh, I don't envy you. I hate days like that. I'm glad he didn't hurt himself with the knife!
Akaila did that once and started running when she saw me coming after her. I literally tackled her and upset her pretty bad, but who cares? She hadn't killed herself, so I was happy.
