Being the geek that I am

I think I have kept every single picture I've ever taken. I'm starting to scan the pictures that were taken with film cameras, and I find myself wanting to make prints of my digital pictures--does anyone else think that's weird? Anyway, I've always been one who LOVES looking at pictures. I love looking through my photo albums and remembering good times. I realize that I have been blessed with the most hIlaRioUs, FUN and EnTertAiniNg friends and family EVER. Seriously. I am so lucky. I found some gems tonight.

Up in Bountiful with Val, Natalie and Steph. I'm pretty sure we wrote in our journals and ate at Nielsen's Frozen Custard that night.

Being in the MTC with a good friend makes you feel at home. Sister Tiana Smith and I were lucky enough to bump into each other every now and again.

This is why I love my family. Uninhibited, dorky and always so much fun.

Of course another mission picture. This one is a classic. Washing clothes on the rocks with the cows peeing in the river. I remember thinking that "at least we were upstream from the cows. The thing is--there were probably more cows upstream from us doing the exact same thing! Look how teeny bopper that little Honduran woman is! She was such a sweet woman. A true example of hard work...and doing it all for her family. It's amazing to me how tough she was too! She carried about 40 pounds of wet laundry {on her head} back to her home to hang it on the clothes lines. It hurt my neck just watching. I'm sporting a pretty sweet tan line too. :)

Fun pictures, Rae. I love the one with the cows. It's a cool looking picture, but I think washing clothes with this woman is an experience you will always remember. I think it's just best not to think about the cow pee. BTW, thanks for your comment, you're a good friend.

Printing pics is so NOT weird. I do it every month with my fav pics taken from that month. I like having a hard copies that people can look at in an album without having to go sit in front of a computer monitor.

I've been wanting to get a scanner for some time now...this might be the final straw...I MUST get one! I want to scan my old photos, and I print my digitals all the time, so no weirdness there! (I don't think...)

Oh the good old days. I remember washing clothes with the cows. And I used to wonder why my whites never seemed to get white. Sheesh. :) I loved the trip down memory lane. Viva Honduras!

Ok, you don't have to say it, I get it by now...Tiana wins out everytime Be it at her wedding, in the MTC. She always gets the pics. And no, I don't want you to go and give me a sympathy ODE or anything, just think about it next time...equal rights. That's all I ask.

Loved these pics and you look so great! Remember hearing about this even with the washing rock and cows, so fun to see the pic to go along with it.

Just love you.

I don't think you are weird at all for scanning old and printing digital. I love scanning my old pictures and making digital scrapbooks.
I love that you washed your clothes in the river. What a fun memory!
