Danny and I spent a little over 2 hours for family night working on our new and very improved budget. We had a little credit card cutting ceremony and shredded them up for good. I'm not even nervous about it. It's time to make some changes around here. Oh, and if you're thinking about trying to photoshop these back together to figure out the card numbers--the accounts are closed, so you won't have much luck. (Just a disclaimer for any possible freaks out there).

WOW, Rae! I'm so proud of you! What a big decision, I can only imagine you feel good right now. We're working really hard right now to pay off my school loans (and Jesse's still in school.) I started with $20,000 in September 2007, and am down to $7,000 with a goal to have them paid off by this August- 1 year! It's like pretty most of my income, but MAN it will feel GOOD to be 100% debt free! WOOHOO!

Great job Rae! And you've only just begun!! Do you listen to his radio show? He has guests on sometimes who cut up their cards live lol, it's great!

I did that about a month into our marriage- it feels good, but it also feels kinda like a death of a good friend. Sorry you had to say goodbye, and congrats at the same time.

Way to go! I have his Total Money Makeover book, but only read the first chapter before I got really sick with this last bout with crohn's. You've inspired me to crack it again.

I was so sad I had to miss out on the zoo. I'm doing a cleanse right now, but come the beginning of June we'll have to get everyone to together for a another playdate.
