This guy
* Seems to really be enjoying third grade {except when his teacher is "mean"}. He's already been moved once because of talking.
* Is great company to have around and makes me laugh almost every day.
* Is also great at waking me up after Dad leaves for work in the morning. He'll come in and stroke my arm and gently say "Mom, can you please wake up?"
* Still doesn't care to ride his bike all that much but is getting better and better at balancing because of his scooter.
* Is so fun to watch in Primary. He raises his hand quite a bit and loves to share his feelings and specific stories and examples from his life. It melts my heart to hear him share his testimony and talk so comfortably about spiritual things.
* Gets distracted 8 million times a day and as a result, we have to use a timer when it comes to getting ready for bed or doing a specific task.
* Has a phenomenal imagination. Especially when it comes to Legos.
* Can't wait to be a big brother.
* Loves playing with younger kids {probably so he can be in charge of them}. He talks to them like Dora the Explorer and is very animated and excited when showing a younger child something that he thinks they'll enjoy. This is how I know he will be a great big brother.
* Is a voracious reader. He's currently hooked on the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. They're not my favorite books but they are challenging enough for him and keep him interested in reading which is important to me. He is also VERY expressive when he reads. He could narrate books on tape--he's that good.
* Loves granny smith apples.
* Likes to wear "wild" socks. He'll wear a totally normal outfit and then try to pull off the craziest pair of socks that either go up to his knees {from soccer} or are a totally bright, crazy color. I try to only get involved if I think it'll result in him being made fun of by his peers.
* Doesn't have a strong opinion about his wardrobe on a typical day. But when he gets his heart set on something, he is very stubborn about changing his mind. I told him that Mom gets to pick what their kids wear on the the first day of school and on picture day and after that, he had free reign over his closet. He seemed okay with that. {Let's see how long he'll believe me}.
* For the most part, is a good little helper when I ask him for a favor. This will be coming in very handy after the baby is born.
* Says he wants to be an artist when he grows up.
* Wants mac & cheese for dinner several times a week.
* Is a happy & helpful boy 90% of the time and is difficult and moody only 10% of the time. I'm happy with these percentages.
* Loves to play with Grandma Miller's cats, Sasha & Mister. His latest thing is getting them to chase the laser pointer. It never gets old...until Mister is out of energy from being 20 pounds overweight...
* Goes off track for the first time in two weeks. I'm wondering how I'm going to entertain him for 3 weeks straight when all of his friends and cousins are on other tracks and will be in school. :(
* Is fiercely loved by Danny and I.
Tonight for FHE we sent letters to Danny's cousin Malia who is on her mission. Here is a copy of Cole's testimony that I just loved. He was also very proud of the fact that he drew her in high heels {I didn't have the heart to tell him that there was no way she was wearing heels in the Philippines} :)
