Mr. Caleb is blessed

December 1, 2013 was a special day for us. Our little miracle baby was given a name and a blessing by his Daddy. We had 1:00 church so it was nice to not be running around like maniacs trying to get things ready before leaving for church. We were actually on time, too. An early Christmas miracle. Danny took this picture right before we left for church. We waited until the last possible second to change "Bubbers" into his white clothing so that he didn't spit up, poop or pee on any of it. Everything worked out perfectly, phew!

Caleb was an angel the entire day. I cradled him with is binky in his mouth while we sang the opening prayer so that he would drift off to sleep. That seemed to do the trick. He was sleepy and quiet through the entire meeting. He looked so handsome in his little tux. We blessed him with a white blanket that my Grandma Claire crocheted when Cole was born. It was special to feel her Spirit that day even though she couldn't be there in a physical sense. I felt the presence of many loved ones that day and was very emotional about it. There's something to be said about the gathering of loved ones on both sides of the veil to witness a special event in your life. It really puts things into perspective and helps me remember the big picture.

Yes, he was barefoot out in the cold for this picture. That's all I think about when I see it...

I tried really hard to pay close attention during the blessing and the second it was over, I had  a pen and paper handy to write down everything I could remember. After Danny sat down, I had him read over it and he added one thing that I had forgotten about. I need to type it up so I can add it to his baby book. It was a beautiful blessing and Caleb Anderson has a wonderful heritage. I hope he will always do his Grandma and Granddad Anderson proud. I believe that he will.

I bore my testimony and was not too surprised to see Granddad  Anderson get up as well. He is such a good example and is willing to share his testimony with any and all people he comes into contact with. Such an admirable man.

Once again, we had a big crowd over for dinner. We were evil and skipped the last two hours of church. Don't worry, we're still active. We had crockpots full of soup, macaroni & cheese, rolls and of course--dessert. I'm so blessed to have sisters-in-law and Grandmas that were willing to help with food. I love to entertain a good crowd but dang, food is expensive! Once again, I asked Scott to help with pictures and he was very willing to help. I made a special trip to the store the day before to get some waterproof mascara which I normally don't wear but it was a good thing I did. It was such a beautiful day.
