Downtown on a school day
I checked Cole out from school early so we could help out with Steph's kids during her sister's wedding ceremony. Katie got married in the SL temple and Steph asked if I could help out with her kids while they were in the temple. Heck yeah. I haven't seen Steph in ages. We hurried downtown and met Steph by the reflection pool. For the next hour and a half I kept everyone busy {um, how do people have 5 kids?}. We ended up at the Nauvoo Cafe eating snacks and having hilarious conversation about Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus and how we shouldn't listen to JB because he does drugs and shows his underwear and we shouldn't watch Miley videos because she is immodest. This was all said by the kids. True and true. These kids are smart. Noah was also very anxious to talk about his weapons of choice and what he would do to beat someone up if we were attacked. It was thoroughly entertaining! They asked lots of questions about Caleb's glasses and invited Cole over to their house in Washington. Noah told Cole it was just a day and then a night to travel there so if we wanted to be there on his birthday, we'd have to plan accordingly. So funny!

Katie was a beautiful bride and I'm pretty sure the last time I saw her, she was about 12. It was fun to see the whole Brown family after so many years. I think we figured out it had been about 14 years since I'd seen most of them. Whaaaa? I love her family. Time for a cabin trip.
After catching up a bit, the boys and I wandered off to enjoy the sunshine and flowers of Temple Square.
Failed selfies are the best. At least we got Caleb's ear...
