Historical Evening
Saturday, March 29th, 2014 was a historical night. For the first time in the church's history, the Relief Society General Women's meeting was turned into "The Women's meeting" which included all female members from age 8 and up! It was fun to get together with all my sisters-in-law (and Jules and Raevyn) on the Miller side to attend the broadcast. The meeting was exceptional and I got to finally meet my sweet new niece, Kayla. The spirit was so strong throughout the meeting, especially with the music and the video presentation. I felt a strong sense of Heavenly Father's love for all of His daughters. I also felt a renewed sense of my place in His plan. The women of the church are strong, humble, beautiful, loving, caring, capable and beloved daughters. There were many tears and sniffles heard throughout the chapel that night and I left the meeting wanting to be the best version of myself. That's what is so awesome about the Spirit.
After the meeting, Brother (President) Virgin came up to say hello and I'm always so shocked that after 16 years, he remembers my name. I love that man. He is bursting with the light of Christ.
It was fun to look on Instagram and Facebook later that night and see pictures of groups of families, women and friends who attended the broadcast together. Life is hard, but the gospel of Jesus Christ makes it easier.
