Jodi's Cake
My friend Jodi contacted us about doing a gender reveal cake for her and Danny was really excited because he had never done one before. She sent Danny a couple pictures of what she wanted it to look like so he had a blueprint. We've also been asked to write up a tutorial for our SIL's blog that is getting quite a bit of traffic. It was sweet of her to ask us and hopefully it'll help us spread the word. We decided this cake would be perfect for it. We started off documenting things well with my Grandpa's camera:
| Danny has found a new fondant that tastes awesome! Goodbye Wilton. |
And then when I wasn't around Danny to take pictures, he was in such a hurry to get it done in time, he forgot to take more pics :) So we jump from starting the frosting to the finished product :) I can't fault him. He came straight home from work and had to finish the cake at a reasonable hour so that Jodi could come pick it up around 8 or 8:30. He was focused.
Danny is doing another cake this week so we'll do the tutorial for that cake instead. Regardless, Jodi was happy with her cake and it was fun to know that she was having a girl before she did! Now we have a ton of blue frosting that we need to use...
