Some November
Still on a never ending quest to de-clutter, organize and simplify. IKEA helps. I was so proud of myself for using an power drill and getting some things hung. We needed a computer in the main living space but didn't want it to take up much room. This has been a great solution for us. Now if we could get our bedroom more in order...
Visited with "Mrs. C" at parent teacher conference. He is doing well and really enjoys
art, P.E. computers, science and recess :) He is good at math when he really focuses in class but he is a daydreamer. Like his Dad (and maybe his Mom). He had several missing assignments that were still in his desk. I would have died if this had happened to me in the 4th grade but I was a special case. Some of the things that hold Cole back in school are my favorite things about his personality. He is so creative and fun. I know that will bless his life in many ways.
Caleb had discovered how cool ovens are. Especially when the light is on.
Checked out the Beddy's booth at the Pinterest Expo. It was hoppin' the entire time I was there.
In the Spirit of Thanksgiving, we had a special family night all about gratitude and why it's so important. We all made lists of things we were thankful for and made a little poster for Grandma White who was recovering from major ankle surgery.
The Mazda's battery died! Again! My babysitter came to the rescue and gave me a jump. It was time for a new battery because it was on it's last ounce of juice.
The nice guy at Auto Zone put it in for me (or I would have been SOL). We chatted a bit and somehow we started talking about soda and he told me that you could put a nail in a glass of coke or sprite and after a week, it'd be almost gone. Whuuut. How did I not know that?? Gross.
Shopping for clothes that actually fit (please stop growing, thanks) and I suggested that Cole get a different shirt that was exactly that style but a different color scheme because he has so much blue and red in his wardrobe. He responded that he wanted this one because it was more his "shade".
Update: The jeans already have holes in the knees and he doesn't wear the shirt. Ever. Except the first day he got it and on Thanksgiving when I forced him to. Also, his shoes have fallen apart and he only wore them a few months. I'm done buying clothes. Nudist colony here we come.
I love finding pictures that Cole has taken with my phone.
Late-over with Nate. They talked about farts, minecraft, butts, MLP and Legos. Just the usual stuff.
Found out there's a Netflix "movie" that looks like an aquarium with fish that swim around and the sound of bubbles and the filter, etc. We love it. The fireplace is a favorite too.
Made THEE best chicken enchiladas in the history of enchiladas.
