Thanksgiving 2014

Thanksgiving was great this year. It was our turn to be with the Millers and we enjoyed good food, good visiting and  for the first time in my life, I made some killer rolls--so I'd say it was a massive success. Thomas the Turkey started out the month look sparse but each night, we rotated having someone add something they were thankful for and soon he was full of beautiful, bright feathers.

I'm sort of embarrassed to say that I wanted this documented pretty well because I was so hopeful that I was going to rock these rolls. And I did.

Dad Miller did the annual carving {as usual} and Gpa Egan milled around and nibbled on bits of the dark meat and picked at the appetizers {as usual}.

Mom made 10,000 pounds of stuffing.

Sandy and Gary joined us since all of their family is in California.

I taught Gpa Egan how to take a selfie and I seriously cherish this picture. It's not very often that you get this smile and it's a real keeper.

Cole wearing the shirt that is "his shade" that I forced him to wear.

Full Belly

Played some Cranium and this is not something we take lightly. There was a very competitive spirit there. I can't even remember who won but it was intense.

Feelin' grateful for this good man.

And my babies. I can't get enough of them {Unless it's after 8 PM and then let's be honest--I'm ready for a bubble bath and some alone time}.

The final version of Thomas.

I looked over the Black Friday deals after the big feast and since "Black Friday"started two weeks before Thanksgiving {which makes zero sense to me, it's getting out of control}, I wasn't in any hurry to go wait outside any stores at 2 AM. I've never been into that and I don't really understand the hype around it. I can sleep in and get online and still get some killer deals. All the while, sipping hot cocoa in my pajamas. That's what I call a successful Thanksgiving. Oh, and leftover homemade rolls.
