SEVEN
Maybe this will be a lucky year for Cole. I can't believe my little guy is seven years old. I cannot wrap my head around the fact that next year he will be getting baptized. We are both too old.
The weekend of Cole's birthday was CRAZY. Danny was doing a wedding cake so that intensifies everything going on. Our kitchen goes to pot and so does the main living area because Danny has so many different things he has to use and we live in a basement apartment :). I took cookies to Cole's class right before school got out and brought Cole home a tad early.
That evening, we had family over for cake and ice cream. I was in charge of the cake...and with most of the kitchen being occupied it turned out pretty pathetic. But Cole didn't care. It actually tasted awesome and there was plenty of frosting. Win. Win. I told him he could put the candles on and before I knew it, he had added a car from his toys. A dirty car. Don't tell anyone. I mean, it wasn't like nasty with dirt...I just know that it hadn't been sanitized. So...yeah.

Earlier in the week he turned in a poster all about his favorite things.

Look how he mocks me...
Cole's favorite Legos are Ninjagos. They *are* pretty cool.
When the gifts were winding down, Cole randomly plopped himself awkwardly on the deck and I KNEW he had to go to the bathroom. So we took a quick intermission.
"Hey! Where's Perry?" Laura got to break in the Perry blanket. So fuzzy and warm :)
All in all--a very great day! Now no more of this growing up stuff. This is getting too intense.
