Swing Batta!
We decided to give TeeBall a shot this year and Cole really seemed to enjoy it. He started off using the tee the first couple games but then he got really brave and started doing coach pitch. He never looked back. His coach went to High School with me which was a fun surprise. I'm super proud to say that he played for the SF Giants. I'm sure that's what influenced them towards winning the World Series...
FIRST GAME! A little nervous but very excited.
The red helmet is the only one that fit his Pumpkin sized head {I can say that because Danny and I both have large noggins} so he and a couple other boys were always vying for it.
Heading for home!
Ready to steal 2nd base
We were so proud of Cole! He very rarely needed to be pitched to more than once or twice to hit the ball. I think we finally found a sport he digs. It's so much better for his personality than soccer. There aren't 20 kids chasing the same ball in a chaotic swarm, everybody gets a turn and you can go at your own pace. It's a great fit for him.
Taking his place on the Pitcher's mound a.k.a. "the middle base"
Bumping into a friend from school
I'm slightly embarrassed to say that I was WAY more upset when Teeball ended than Danny or Cole were. I have fond memories of going to games for as long as I can remember. I'm pretty sure that all my brothers played baseball and my Dad played softball well into his thirties--possibly even his forties Plus, it's the All-American game! I'm sad it isn't more popular. The funny thing is that there were only enough kids registered to make TWO teams so we played the SAME team every single time. Twice a week for 4 weeks. It was hilarious. Naturally we totally wasted the Yankees EVERY time :)

Who was the coach lady in those pics? She looks very familiar.
And great job on finding a good fit for Cole. We have tried almost every sport under the sun for our boys. And finally our oldest is jiving really well in an art class. Who knew!
